MetroAir Virtual Begins ERJ-145 Replacement Initiative

Kansas City, October 8, 2023 -- MetroAir has announced a fleet expansion and modernization plan designed to enhance passenger comfort and operational efficiency.

The airline will replace its ERJ-145 aircraft with two new aircraft types: the CRJ-700 and the Embraer 175. The CRJ-700 features superior performance and a spacious cabin with modern design and enhanced amenities, while the Embraer 175 offers efficiency and range to expand the route network.

Sean Mullineaux, MetroAir's spokesperson, stated the transition represents "a significant step forward" enabling the airline to better meet passenger needs and maintain service quality.

The phased transition was scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2023 and complete by early 2024. MetroAir committed to minimizing flight schedule disruptions during the transition period.
