MetroAir Virtual Airlines Staff
Matt joined MetroAir soon after the airline was officially launched. Eight months later he begain rising through the ranks at MetroAir serving as the DTW Hub Manager. He has served in every staff capacity; He has also held the positions of HR Manager, Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operations Officer and now Chief Executive Officer.
As a child, Matt always had a yearning to be a pilot. While in the real world he is a software developer, he spends his virtual time flying for MetroAir. Since he is normally busy taking care of other MetroAir business tho, he usually rides in the jump seat.
William joined Metro in August 2010 after searching the airways for the perfect VA for 8 years. Less than three months later he had risen to the rank of Director of Aircraft operations, responsible for delivery of the new A32x and A330s. Three months later he had risen further up the Operations ladder to Director of Scheduled Ops, now in charge of keeping Metro's 900+ schedules in order.
In amongst juggling all the Operations at Metro he is a CSA at his local airport for Jet2.com dealing with all the Departures and Arrivals at the UKs newest growing airport.
William has always been interested in aviation ever since he took his first flight some 19 years ago. You can often find William on teamspeak chatting with the regulars and at the same time flying and doing his staff work.
Lindle Romero joined MetroAir virtual as a pilot in September of 2006 after 4 years of flying strictly in the combat aviation arena (IL2 Sturmovik). Lindle joined MAV in September of 2006. Later that year Lindle was hired on as the Director of Training for MetroAir, then eventually applied to be the ONT Hub Manager. In July of 2008 Lindle was promoted to VP of Operations and now sits on the executive board of the airline. In September of 2009 Lindle's title was changed to Chief Personnel Officer to better reflect job duties and responsibilities.
In real life Lindle is married and has two sons. The oldest is 8 years old and the baby is already 4 years old! Lindle works as an IT Sr. Specialist for a natural gas pipeline company. The company has over 48,000 miles of pipelines in the U.S. and the largest LNG terminal in North America.

Derrick Medlin resides in Kernersville, North Carolina. He has always dreamed of flying. A veteran of the United States Air Force(1981-1990) his first exposure to flight simulation was in 1985. His neighbor had a Commodore 64 computer! Although, real world flight was not in his future, Microsoft has provided him with his opportunity to live his dream! In the real world, he has been with CINTAS The Service Professionals, as a Service Sales Representative for almost 20 years.
He took his trusty copy of FS2002 and joined MetroAir in March of 2008. Since then he has logged over 1600 hours in the Metro livery. "I had been flying for about 7 months, and was looking for a little more than just what plain FS could offer. As I was searching for a more fulfilling experience by flying online, I found VATSIM, and a whole list of virtual airlines to choose from. After reading webpages until my eyes were about to bleed, I found MetroAir. As I read, I found out it was 'all that and a bag of chips!' I love Metro and the community of friends I have gained during my stay here." He bought a copy of FS9 in June of 2009 to enhance his flightsiming experience.
He was hired as the Allegius hub manager in September of 2009. Since then, he has served as a mainline hub manager in each of MetroAir's hub cities. In January 2013 he was promoted to the position of Chief Personnel Officer.
Matt Dissinger has had an interest in flying since Flight Simulator '98 where his favorite aircraft was the MD-88. His aspirations of flying were further heightened in 2000 when he received an invitation to visit NorthWest Airlines headquarters in Minneapolis, MN, met with an instructor with 25+ years experience, and got to fly one of the full motion 747 simulators! After a near perfect taxi out, takeoff, circle, and landing centerline, the instructor turned to him and told him "You play way too many video games!".
Fast forward to 2007 when Matt again got back into flight simulator with Flight Simulator X and began flying for ATA Virtual. He flew with ATA Virtual for 4 months as a pilot before joining the staff there as Chief Technology Officer on January 8, 2008, responsible for maintaining and updating their website with new features as well as updating their fleet for FSX compatibility. Matt remained with ATA Virtual until they closed down in November 2008.
Matt spent the next 2 years flying off and on, looking for a new home, before finally joining MetroAir Virtual in January, 2011. He jumped head first into the regional aircraft and after spending numerous hours in them, decided he felt like tweaking the aircraft to further improve on them. After completing tweaks on the Q200 and Q400 and supplying back to the beta test team, he accepted a staff position to formally continue on future aircraft improvements.
Sara currently resides in Phoenix, AZ with her husband, who is also the BWI hub manager and is a stay at home mom to their beautiful daughter! She joined MetroAir back in March of 2011 after taking a big interest in MetroAir and flying in general, while watching Sean participate and fly for Metro. Four months after she joined, she accepted her first staff position, Director of Media and Marketing. Currently she is the Human Resources Manager, and loves welcoming and helping pilots any way she can.
Zak started his Virtual Airline career back in 1996 with SunAir Express on AOL and hasn't looked back since. Having founded a couple of fairly successful Virtual Airlines over the years (Buffalo Airways, Pacific Blue Airways), and having flown for some of the most successful VAs (Westwind, Atlantic Sun Airways), Zak has a wealth of experience in the Virtual Aviation field. Originally from a little town north of Los Angeles, CA called Porter Ranch (about 5 minutes north of VNY), Zak now calls Las Vegas, NV his home. He currently works as the Hotel Operations Communcations Manager for the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, overseeing and maintaining the hotel's internal website, writing and producing training videos, as well as managing all training and support documents for the entire hotel division. In his spare time (when he gets it), Zak is an avid photographer and is currently about 10 hours away from obtaining his Private Pilots License. Zak and his dog, Bonnie, also compete in Canine Agility Trials all over Nevada and the Southwest.
Anthony joined MetroAir in December 2012 after searching for the perfect VA. After only a few months he took up the position of Directro of Charter Ops looking after all of Metro's charter needs. Anthony has been interested in aviation since he was a toddler. He started working as an airport intern at age 14 and never looked back. He's been working at his states largest airport in the hills of West Virginia for nearly 8 years and currently manages marketing, air service development, and ground handling operations for some carriers. He's very knowledgable about many aviation related topics and hopes to continue helping make Metro Air as realistic as possible. .
Andrew is a high school student who currently lives in a small town outside Philadelphia, PA. He grew up near JFK airport where his interest for avaition started. He would spend hours after school watching planes soar by on final for the airport. Andrew started his virtual airline career at Southwest Virtual Airlines about 3 years ago. Here he spent all of about three months before leaving in search of a better VA. After months of search and trying out different airlines Andrew stubbeled across MetroAir. Andrew quickly realized that this VA would be the VA that he was looking for. In over a year and a half of being at MetroAir Andrew has risen through the ranks as a pilot as well as being on staff. He started out as being a Mento. After a few months of being a Mentor Andrew was promoted to the Director of Mentorship. Andrew is happy to call MetroAir home and is proud to be a part of the staff at MetroAir.
Alex is a pre-medical student currently living in Ottawa. His interest in flying began back in 2004 and he purchased a copy of the then-new FS 2004. After several years of practice flying on his own and teaching himself he ins and outs of airline flying, he invested in a copy of FSX and began the search for a virtual airline. He started with Metro in July 2010 and hasn't looked back since. He joined the staff a few months later, starting out in the position of Director of Aircraft Operations and eventually moving on to his current position as Director of Charter Operations. His mailbox is always open if pilots have ideas of what they'd like to see in future charter seasons.
Rob landed at MetroAir in May 2012 after spending a few months looking for the right VA. Shortly after joining, Rob realized MetroAir was the virtual airline community he was looking for and applied for the position of Fleet Director. He has had an interest in flying since early childhood and an interest in flight simulators since the mid-90s when his dad taught him the basics of flying in MS Flight Simulator 5. Since then, Rob has flown on MSFS '95, '98, 2002, 2004, and FSX. Rob currently serves in the U.S. Army as a public affairs noncommissioned officer stationed at Fort Knox, Ky. After his time in the Army, Rob plans to pursue his pilot's license, in order to take his love for flight beyond the virtual world and into the skies.
Sean Mullineaux is originally from Maryland, but now calls Phoenix his home. He started his flight sim career in 1998, after he bought and fell in love with the game and has not looked back. He joined MetroAir in November 2009. After searching long and hard for the right VA, he is proud to call MetroAir Virtual his home. Since joining, he has logged over 700 hours. In February 2011 he accepted the position of Hub Manager for Kansas City. Then in January of 2012 opened the Baltimore Hub and is currently the Hub Manager. He continues his love for the virtual skies by supporting the upcoming pilots and helping them succeed.
Dave came to Metro Air with a lifetime of real world aviation experience: ten years air traffic control in a busy Tracon, professional pilot, and a columnist with the former Airliners Magazine. He was drawn to Metro Air because of the realism and structure, hub assignments, great mix of airplanes and incredible record keeping done by the airline. He's only been a line pilot with Metro for six months but he usually flies everyday. Dave promises he will get involved with Vatsim both as a pilot and controller.
